Champions For Change

“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller.

Champions for Change is a small NPC started in June 2014 by two sisters. One a retired nurse and clinical instructor and the other a headteacher. Both are trained in Child Protection and safeguarding.

Through this NPC, the sisters serve their community by providing victim support with a focus on victim rehabilitation for children.

Champions for Change empowers children through their workshops and counselling programmes so that they realise that they don’t have to feel ashamed; giving them the opportunity to talk about the abuse and heal so that they can be normal functioning adults one day.

At the moment, they do not have a private room for counselling to make the children feel at ease.

To aid this excellent initiative, Hot Cares will be donating a 2.4m by 2.4m wendy house which will serve as a counselling room at an estimated value of R9 000.
