As part of the massive R840 000 “Back to School Supply Run” on Hot 91.9fm, Hot Cares together with The Guvon Group launched the Guvon Academy Hospitality Bursary. The bursary for training in Hospitality and Catering, valued at R150000.
It is a 3-year programme that will include work experience within the Guvon Hotels & Spas group as well as professional mentoring and development beyond the qualification.
This morning on Joburgs Hottest Breakfast Show, Joshua Niland got some truly wonderful news.
Having always wanted to work in the hospitality industry since he was a child, Joshua, who has just passed Matric achieving a university entrance, was unable to further his studies due to financial constraints at home. Nadia Barnard of the Guvon Group, was in studio to hand over this amazing opportunity to young Joshua. Nadia awarded the bursary to Joshua based on his academic achievement, his great understanding of the hospitality industry as well as his commitment and determination to succeed. With Joshua’s enthusiasm and interest in the programme, we have no doubt that he will embrace this opportunity and look forward to watching his progress and growth over the next three years.
