His condition worsens during Eskom load shedding when his oxygen machine stops working. Despite the difficult circumstances, GP’s wife, Zelda, is working day and night to support the family, while his elder sister, Lenette, has taken on additional jobs to provide financial assistance. 

Recognizing the emotional and financial burden the family is facing, Hot Cares is committed to ensuring that they can focus on spending quality time with GP without any stress or worries about finances.

The organization will cover the family’s expenses for the next three months, including medical aid, rent, electricity, gas, water, ice, petrol for oncology visits, school fees, and groceries. This comprehensive support, totaling R99,540, reflects Hot Cares’ dedication to providing relief and allowing the family to create lasting memories with GP during his final months.
