Supporting Sue and her mission of love and education

This Hot Cares Christmas, we are thrilled to recognize the incredible work of Sue Wells, a selfless woman who has dedicated her life to caring for orphaned and vulnerable children.

Through her registered NPO, Bezaleel, Sue provides a loving home for over 10 children, many of whom face significant challenges, including disabilities and HIV. But her commitment goes far beyond providing shelter—Sue ensures these children have access to quality education and skills development, empowering them to break the cycle of poverty and dependency.

Sue homeschools her children and offers accredited online courses, equipping them with valuable qualifications that pave the way for independence. Among her current students, three are working toward their GED, and another, Ruth, is pursuing an accredited CompTIA course. Over the years, Sue’s efforts have led to real-world success, with several of her “graduates” now thriving in the workforce.

Despite her unwavering dedication, this year has been particularly tough for Sue. The challenges of managing the orphanage and facilitating online education have taken a toll, and she urgently needs support to sustain her impactful work.

Hot Cares is stepping in to lighten Sue’s load. We are gifting her a new laptop, which will enable her to continue facilitating online education and managing the orphanage efficiently. Additionally, we are contributing toward the costs of the children’s accredited courses.

This support, valued at R30,000, ensures Sue can continue transforming lives while honoring her remarkable dedication to these children. Sue’s story is a testament to the power of resilience, faith, and community support, and we are proud to help her sustain her mission of love and education this Christmas. Together, we can create brighter futures for the children of Bezaleel.
