Supporting Tears foundation and empowering survivors
This Hot Cares Christmas, we’re proud to support the TEARS Foundation, an organization that stands as a beacon of hope and compassion for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence.
Through their vital work, TEARS provides Comfort Packs to survivors at one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. These packs, filled with essentials like soap, toothbrushes, fresh underwear, and a thoughtful note of encouragement, offer dignity, care, and a sense of humanity when it’s needed most.
For survivors, these small gestures carry profound meaning, reminding them that they are not alone. TEARS goes beyond immediate care by assisting survivors through legal processes, including preparing for court cases, and offering emotional and psychological support. Their holistic approach ensures that survivors are not just cared for in the moment but are also equipped to navigate the challenging path to healing and justice.
As the festive season approaches—a time that can be especially dangerous for victims trapped with their abusers—Hot Cares is stepping in to amplify TEARS’ life-changing mission.
This Christmas, Hot Cares is contributing R60,000 to fund the creation of Comfort Packs, helping TEARS extend their critical work to even more survivors. These packs are not just practical—they are a tangible symbol of hope, compassion, and empowerment.
Hot Cares is honored to stand alongside TEARS during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence and beyond. Together, we are shining a light on the importance of care, dignity, and justice for survivors, ensuring that their voices are heard and their journeys toward recovery are supported.
This festive season, we’re reminded that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a profound difference in someone’s life. Together, we are making a meaningful impact, one Comfort Pack at a time.
