Hot Cares partners with Kitty and Puppy Haven to expand animal rescue facilities

At Hot Cares, we’re committed to supporting local organizations that make a meaningful difference. Recently, we joined forces with Kitty and Puppy Haven, an incredible animal rescue organization with over 24 years of dedication to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming neglected and abandoned animals.

Kitty and Puppy Haven’s work extends beyond basic rescue operations. They provide critical veterinary care, community education, and support low-income areas through food distributions, pet care guidance, and spay-and-neuter programs. But with the demand for safe animal shelter growing, they’ve reached capacity, and without additional space, they’re limited in how many animals they can save.

Recognizing this need, Hot Cares has pledged to help Kitty and Puppy Haven raise R65,000 to build new kennels and precast walls, expanding their capacity to house and care for more animals. These new spaces will offer a safe and stable environment for dogs undergoing rehabilitation, allowing them to eventually find their forever homes.

The impact of this expansion goes beyond the animals—it benefits the entire community. By increasing their capacity and continuing to educate surrounding communities, Kitty and Puppy Haven is not only addressing immediate animal welfare needs but also working to prevent future cases of abuse and neglect.
