Hot Cares stands with Anti-Poaching heroes

At Hot Cares, we believe in supporting those who dedicate their lives to making a difference. When we heard about Chris Pearce and his team of anti-poaching volunteers, we knew we had to step in.

Chris, a committed conservationist, has spent 22 years protecting South Africa’s wildlife, working tirelessly to safeguard endangered species from poaching. His work, alongside countless other volunteers, is entirely self-funded—they risk their lives every day without expecting anything in return.

But these heroes are in urgent need of protection themselves. With poaching syndicates becoming more sophisticated and violent, bulletproof vests have become a necessity for those working on the frontlines. Unfortunately, funding for protective gear is often overlooked, as conservation efforts prioritize animal care.

That’s why Hot Cares is stepping in to cover the full R50,000 needed to provide ten bulletproof vests for Chris and his fellow anti-poaching volunteers. These vests will give them a fighting chance—ensuring they can continue their critical work without unnecessary personal risk.

By protecting those who protect our wildlife, we are investing in the future of conservation. Chris and his team are not just fighting for animals—they are fighting for the survival of South Africa’s natural heritage.

At Hot Cares, we believe that every act of kindness creates a ripple effect. By supporting these conservation warriors, we are taking a stand against poaching and playing a role in preserving our wildlife for generations to come.

Chris, you and your team are not alone. We’ve got your backs—literally!
