Empowering The Loved Ones of God with water bottling initiative support

Hot Cares is proud to support The Loved Ones of God, an inspiring non-profit organization in Brakpan, that has dedicated over two decades to caring for 143 elderly pensioners, disabled individuals, and 15 children. Their commitment to providing shelter, food, and essential support to some of the most vulnerable members of our community has always resonated deeply with us.

Recently, The Loved Ones of God took a bold step towards self-sustainability by launching a water bottling initiative. Recognizing the challenges of relying solely on donations, they identified a valuable resource – their borehole water – and transformed it into an opportunity. With a fully built facility and the necessary equipment in place, their dream of bottling and selling water is close to reality. However, they needed R34,600 to purchase the packaging required to get started.

This is where Hot Cares stepped in. Guided by our belief in offering a hand up, not a handout, we saw this as more than a once-off donation. It is an investment in a sustainable future. By supporting this initiative, we are not only helping The Loved Ones of God generate their own income but also empowering them to maintain their vital services with dignity and independence.

The water bottling project holds the potential to create jobs within the organization and the local community, fostering skills development and economic participation. It’s a model that could inspire other non-profits to explore innovative ways to sustain their work.

At Hot Cares, we are honored to play a role in this journey. Supporting initiatives like this is what drives us – helping those who help others, and building a future where everyone can thrive. Together, we are making a difference, one bottle at a time.
