Hot Cares Provides Support for Single Mother and Her Physically Challenged Son

In a heartwarming gesture, Hot Cares and Roman’s Pizza have come together to support the Ephraim Zulu Senior Citizen Centre, a dedicated facility that provides essential care for up to 98 elderly and frail individuals. Despite the Centre’s efforts to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of its residents, significant budget shortfalls have been a constant challenge.

Recognising the Centre’s critical role in the community, Hot Cares and Roman’s Pizza have stepped in to address their immediate needs. The organisations have donated a range of essential items from the Centre’s wish list, including rechargeable lights, desktops, electrical appliances, and much-needed bedding for the frail care unit. These donations are set to enhance the residents’ comfort, safety, and overall well-being, ensuring they can age gracefully with dignity.
The support doesn’t end there. A shopping voucher for comfortable clothing has also been provided, ensuring that the residents’ basic needs are well taken care of. This comprehensive assistance will help the Centre continue its vital work without compromising the quality of care it offers.

The event, which took place on Friday, September 20th, was a surprise for the Centre’s manager, Alfred Themba Hadebe, and the residents. Hot Cares and Roman’s Pizza arrived with new mattresses, bedding, kitchen goods, gardening tools, and new desktops, fulfilling the items on their wish list.

This collaborative effort between Hot Cares and Roman’s Pizza is a testament to their commitment to uplifting vulnerable community members. Their support not only brightens the lives of the elderly at the Ephraim Zulu Senior Citizen Centre but also reinforces the importance of community care and compassion.
