Hot Cares brings hope and support to little Daniel’s journey

Hot Cares is honoured to support a family that embodies resilience and love. We recently connected with Bianca Mels, a young mother who dedicates her heart to raising her three children. Among them is her nearly one-year-old son, Daniel, who has Down Syndrome and has faced numerous health challenges from the very beginning. Despite the trials of surgeries, hospital stays, and most recently, a diagnosis of sleep apnea, Bianca and her family remain an inspiring source of positivity and strength.

Daniel’s sleep apnea requires him to use a CPAP machine to maintain safe breathing during the night—a necessity his medical aid unfortunately does not cover, making it financially out of reach for the family. Knowing the importance of this machine for Daniel’s health and well-being, Hot Cares is stepping in to cover the cost of the CPAP machine, valued at R34,000. This support will help ensure Daniel can sleep safely and give his family peace of mind.

Additionally, we’re thrilled to gift the family a day of fun at Gold Reef City, complete with a special lunch. We hope this outing brings them joy, creating beautiful memories they can cherish. It’s a privilege for Hot Cares to contribute to Daniel’s journey, celebrating the courage, love, and positivity that this remarkable family radiates every day.
