Applications are now open for four Sports Management bursaries, each valued at R27,750, offering young South Africans the chance to pursue a career in the business of sport.

This one-year Higher Certificate in Sports Management (NQF5), delivered by the Balderstone Sports Institute, is designed to set future sports leaders up for success both on and off the field.

The programme blends strong academic foundations with real-world relevance, giving learners hands-on insight into the mechanics that drive sport as a global industry. From Finance and Marketing to Sales, Organisational Behaviour and Resource Management, students gain the essential business skills needed to thrive in a competitive environment. There is also a strong focus on the South African sporting landscape — its history, evolution, and the growing demand for ethical, knowledgeable and capable professionals who can help shape its future.
