Hot Cares partners with Jet Ubunye to uplift children and support their education

There are days that stay with you — not because of what was bought, but because of what was felt. Recently, Jet Ubunyeand Hot Cares teamed up once again to give 50 children from St Mary’s Children’s Home a back-to-school experience filled with joy, dignity and excitement.

The children were treated to a special day at Sandton City, where they enjoyed a shopping spree at Jet, choosing their own school wear, casual outfits and room décor. For many of them, this simple act of deciding what they wanted — and having someone say “yes” — was powerful. The outing ended with fun entertainment and a shared lunch, leaving the children feeling proud, uplifted and ready to take on the new school year.

During this memorable outing, the Jet Ubunye team spent time with Hot Cares and saw first-hand the overwhelming number of requests received every year for school-fee assistance and educational support.

And they didn’t hesitate.
