It’s officially that time of year when Hot Cares steps forward in the most extraordinary way, opening nominations for Hot Cares Christmas — our biggest, most impactful initiative of the year. While Hot Cares provides support and relief throughout the calendar year, this campaign is different. It’s reserved for those rare, extraordinary needs that have the power to change the course of someone’s life forever.

Each festive season, we search for stories that truly stand out — stories of courage, resilience, and possibility. We’re looking for situations where assistance won’t just help someone through a difficult moment, but where it will spark real, lasting transformation.

These are the kinds of needs we hope to fulfill:

✨ Life-changing medical intervention or surgery that a family simply cannot afford.
✨ Upskilling or education opportunities that could empower someone to rewrite their future.
✨ Specialised tools or equipment to help an entrepreneur build long-term sustainability and independence.
✨ Any unique need that can create ripple effects of hope, stability, and opportunity for years to come.

If you know someone whose life could be changed in a meaningful, sustainable way this festive season, we want to hear their story.

• a clear, detailed explanation of what is needed and why

The more specific the information, the better we can evaluate the potential impact — and the sooner we can step in to help.

Terms and Conditions:

Hot Cares Christmas is intended to uplift individuals through impactful, sustainable assistance. Self-nominations will not be considered.
Successful nominees agree that their story, name, photographs, video footage and related content may be used on-air, online, and in print, including local newspapers and social media platforms.
If a Nomination is successful, nominees will be required to provide valid proof of identification (green bar-coded ID, Smart ID card, or valid passport).
By submitting a nomination, you confirm that all information provided is truthful, complete, and submitted in good faith.
Hot Cares and Hot 1027FM reserve the right to verify all information submitted as part of the nomination process.
Should any untruths, omissions, or misrepresentations come to light, or if any terms are breached, Hot Cares and Hot 1027FM reserve the right to withdraw the donation in part or in full and pursue any necessary legal recourse.
Hot Cares NPC and Hot 1027FM reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
