Silverstar and Hot Cares fund critical sterilisation campaign

In Randfontein, where many pet owners love their animals but simply can’t afford sterilization, the team at No More Tears Animal Rescue is stepping up—door to door, pet by pet—to break the cycle of animal suffering. And now, with the support of Silverstar and Hot Cares, their impact is about to grow.

No More Tears Animal Rescue NPC has launched a Sterilization Outreach Campaign to assist pet owners in underprivileged communities. Their goal: raise R16,000 to sterilize 15 dogs and 5 cats, preventing hundreds of unwanted litters, reducing stray populations, and improving the welfare of countless animals.

These passionate volunteers don’t just fund vet visits—they drive to pick up animals, they educate pet owners, and they go beyond their means to make sure no animal is turned away. It’s this kind of hands-on compassion that caught the attention of both Hot Cares and Silverstar.

“We were so moved by the heart and sacrifice behind No More Tears,” says Deon Basson from Silverstar. “Their work doesn’t stop at animals—it touches the families who care for them but can’t afford help.”

Together, Silverstar and Hot Cares are covering the full cost of the sterilization campaign. That means 20 animals will now receive the care they need, and countless more will be spared future hardship.
